The other day I wanted to update my Mackie DL32s via the Master Fader app I was using a Windows PC and everything worked fine.
Next I got an update message and approved the update. The device reboots in an ‘update modus’ and that makes the wifi disconnect. After reconnecting, I could not get the update to get going again.
It was stuck in either a ‘wifi reconnect’ message or the transfer of file 1. I aborted a couple of times, rebooting the DL32s to try again (with no luck).
Fortunately, the solution was simple. I made a wired connection with my laptop by connecting an ethernet cable from the DL32s port to my laptop.
I made sure the Wifi network was NOT connected.
After that, I rebooted the DL32s again, made sure I was connected to the DL32s network (via cable, not via wifi) and started the Master fader app again. This time, the update message came and after the reboot, the connection was made (via cable) and the files were transferred and processed within minutes.
